FALL/WINTER SHEDULE 2021/2022
Arctic Edge Skating Club is pleased to offer Rising Star skating programs for skaters interested in learning skating skills in a Figure Skating environment. This program is for the skater who can glide forward and backward, has good balance and control on the ice and who are motivated to learn to Figure Skate. Skaters are invited from Can Skate when they are ready for this program. Auditions for Rising Star are also available upon request. If your skater has not been invited and you think this program is for your skater, please email arcticedgesc@gmail.com. An assessment will be arranged for your skater. Rising Star Skaters should register in a minimum of 2 sessions per week at the Rising Star level to ensure they progress. Three sessions are available to Rising Star skaters interested in maximizing their skating opportunities.
The schedule and fees for programs after March Break will be available at a later date.

PROGRAM CAPACITY
Program and sessions are subject to a minimum and a maximum number of registrants. Please register on or before the deadline. If registration is full, please add your name to the waitlist. We may be able to increase capacity or offer a space to your skater after the registration close date or after the program commences.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Volunteering is an important part of supporting our club. Parents/Guardians of Rising Star skaters are required to volunteer. In a normal year, our major fundraiser are weekly bingos on Fridays from September to the current year to September of the following year with the majority of the bingos held between May and August. Due to COVID 19, Bingos have been suspended. When we have more information on volunteering opportunities we will pass it on.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS due to COVID-19
Arctic Edge Skating Club will continue to take measures according to our Covid 19 operational plan to prevent the spread of COVID 19. Additional information on what is expected by the skaters and members will be provided in a separate document and on our website. The Chief Medical Officer of the Yukon recommends all Yukoners born in 2009 or earlier to get vaccinated.
Refunds or ice credits will be available should we be unable to provide programming due to imposed COVID 19 measures or reduced ice availability that prevents delivery of our planned programs.

Deadline to register is August 20, 2021. Please ensure to register on or before this date as our registration system will close. Registration spaces are offered on a first come first serve basis.
