Program Details
CanSkate
- 45-minute classes for ages 5–12 (4-year-olds who can stand and walk on skates are also welcome)
- Choose 1–4 classes per week (2 classes/week recommended for optimal progress)
- Class times:
- Mondays: 5:15–6:00 pm
- Tuesdays: 6:15–7:00 pm
- Thursdays: 6:15–7:00 pm
- Saturdays: 10:45–11:30 am
CanSkate Tots
- 30-minute classes for skaters age 5 and under who are new to skating
- Class times:
- Wednesdays: 3:15–3:45 pm
- Saturdays: 10:00–10:30 am
Location: All classes are held at the Canada Games Centre. See below for session dates, cancellations, and fees.
Equipment Requirements
All skaters must bring their own skates and a CSA-approved hockey helmet. Only CSA approved hockey helmets are allowed on the ice—bike and ski/snowboard helmets are not permitted.

Skate Canada Membership
All skaters must pay an annual Skate Canada membership fee of $59 (non-refundable, covers Sept 2025–Aug 2026). If you registered in the fall, please use the same login to avoid duplicate fees.

- Deadline: December 31, 2025
- Spaces are first come, first served. If registration is full, please join the waitlist—we may be able to offer more spots after registration closes or once the program starts.
