VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

As part of the ongoing commitment to the club, volunteer credits will continue to be a requirement for StarSkate level members this season.  Please refer to the  Volunteer policy found on our website for full details.

Volunteer opportunities will be listed in the Uplifter registration system.  Before finalizing registration and payment, parents or guardians are expected to select from a list of known volunteer tasks.  Volunteer tasks are assigned a certain credit value as determined by the Board of Directors.

Parents or Guardians of Star 2-3 skaters will be required to complete a minimum of 10 volunteer credits.  We encourage members to select music playing opportunities along with one or two additional volunteer events.  The Board and coaches have emphasized the importance of music playing as a meaningful way to support both skaters and coaches during on-ice sessions. Additional volunteer tasks not posted during the fall registration will be communicated throughout the year to ensure ample opportunities to contribute and support the club.

Parents or Guardians can opt out of volunteering in exchange for paying a $200 fee at the time of registration.  This option can be selected using the subscription icon in the Uplifter system.

For more information regarding signing up for volunteer credits, please see the Volunteer Registration Document

If you require assistance or more information regarding how to sign up for volunteer credits, please email the club – our administrator will be happy to help  with your registration.
