Winter registration for our popular Learn to Skate programs, CanSkate and CanSkateTots, will be available on Saturday November 18, 2023 at 8:00 am. These programs are a great opportunity for young children and youth to learn the fundamental skills of skating. To register, please click on the following link: https://arcticedge.uplifterinc.com/.
CanSkate classes are 45 minutes long and ideal for skaters ages 5 to 12 years old. Skaters who are 4 years old and have skated before are also welcome to join the CanSkate program. Skaters can register for 1, 2 or 3 classes per week. For optimal progress, 2 classes per week is recommended. The classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15-7:00pm and Saturdays from 10:45-11:30am.
CanSkate Tots classes are 30 minutes long and are designed for skaters who are 5 years old or younger and have not previously skated. The classes are offered on Wednesdays from 3:15-3:45pm and Saturdays from 10:00-10:30am
All classes are held at the Canada Games Centre. See the section below for start/end dates, known cancellation days and fees.
All skaters must provide their own skates and a CSA approved hockey helmet. CSA approved hockey helmets must be worn on the ice. Bicycle and skiing/snowboarding helmets are not permitted.
Program and sessions are subject to a minimum number of registrants. Arctic Edge Skating Club reserves the right to change programming if there is insufficient enrollment.

SKATE CANADA FEE
All skaters who have not registered for the fall programs must be registered with Skate Canada and pay an annual membership fee. This fee covers a full year of skating from September 2023 – August 2024. The Skate Canada and administration fee of $59 is non-refundable and is added to the session fees in the registration system. For returning skaters, please make sure you log in with the same user name and password in order to not be charged the fee a second time.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: December 15, 2023
Please register on or before the deadline. Registration spaces are offered on a first come first serve basis. If registration is full, please add your name to the waitlist. We may be able to increase capacity and offer a space to your skater after registration closes or after the program commences.
